Alhamdulillah, another weekend visits us... After a week long of labour for some, the time to relax has finally arrived, or has it? I dont think so, not for the full time mothers that have to spread their love 24-7 to the young and restless kids or old and much rest needed spouse of theirs. Any day is a week day for them. So, this entry is especially for you, sit back relax and enjoy... Okay, its also for you too the week end makers :P
Seikyo, a Japanese word which to my best guess means 'University Bookstore' is what I'll be blogging about this time. Everytime a friend says "Jom pi Seikyo" I'd find myself slowly walking and chatting with him (usually Mr. Suhaidi) until we finally stop at the university book store. There it goes, it doesnt take a genius to figure out what Seikyo means... There are two Seikyos here, one serious Seikyo where you could even buy a xerox machine and a more slumbered Seikyo, where you cant buy a xerox machine...
Usually we'd visit the relaxed Seikyo in the evening when this tummy of mine starts talking or some times singing the sweet melody of the empty can rattles the most. Arriving in the Seikyo, my eyes involuntarilly gazes on the bakery shelf. This tummy smiles. A happy tummy must be accompanied with a happy throat, says the mind. So, like a big camel, my eyes slowly scans the watering hole in Seikyo to pick out the best canned coffee available.
Time to eat? not yet... Like sirens, Seikyo's magazine ilse chants the deadly song that never fails to kill... Kill my time that is... Here I'd flip through the car megazines without reading a single word... Semi revealing megazines adorned with cute little ladies in skimpy outfit smiling for the camera is also available in this Seikyo... I'd refrain from those and stick to car megazines that sometimes also have the cute brainless beauties smiling on top of a BMW, but never on a Proton Wira... Why dont I read the car megazines? I simply cant... everything here is written in alien alphabets, not Roman nor Jawi... Everything is in Kanji, Katakan and Hiragana... When done, I'd turn around to stretch these artistic fingers of mine using the pen and pencils arranged neatly on the stationary isle until my tummy reminds me of the bread and my throat of the coffee...
Paying is always a pleasure here in Seikyo... The coffer never asks for much as scholars dont have that plenty to give. Its a university book store for Allah's sake, not an exclusive glittering beverly hills rip off book store... At the cash register, Seikyo's little elves would thank us and bid farewell. We'd walk out, sit under a tree, make our tummy a little bigger and our throats a little wetter. I'd turn into a dragon for 5 minutes and hope to visit Seikyo again...
Hmmm... They used to sell DRAGON BREATH here but not now... Maybe its because of the cut down on smoking campaign... And anyone that knows the true translation of Seikyo, dont be bashfull, tell me what it is... Anyway, to all the mothers out there, once your baby is all grown up and by which time you can enjoy a real weekend, I pray that your babies too would spend a part of their weekdays in a Seikyo and weekends relaxing...
-Selamat beristirehat-
It just came to my attention that Seikyo means the association of persons/businesses striving for economic benefit... Seikyo=Coorperation=Koperasi... Arigato Gozaimasu Sazly-san...

Suami menyapu kasihkan Isteri,
Senyum tersipu pada Suami,
Kerja Isteri adalah penyeri,
Kasih Isteri mekar bersemi.
(Apa punya pantun la...sorry takde idea)
Belakang kaca barang dimakan,
Perut lapar makan unagiri,
Hendak membaca sambil makan,
Buku apa yang Tuan beli?

Teka teki teka tekuk,
Ular mati hisap rokok?
Teka teki teka tekuk,
Ular mati kena patuk?
Tuan Izhal yang budiman, hamba sesungguhnya memohon jutaan maaf kerna idea pantun hamba terlalu tak sedapnya. Mungkin kerna otak dah terlalu berkarat. Doakanlah agar hamba dapat menyumbang dalam kesenian bahasa.
Teka teki teka tekuk,
Kepala hamba janganlah diketuk.
Pen merah pen biru,
Hamba mohon diri dulu.
Tuan Izhal,
