I must have been a great husband last night because I was rewarded with a special dinner. After doing the laundry and 'lipating'everyones cloth/kain pelekat/you know what/bla bla bla and T-shirts, I found that Puan Fara has baked me Jumbo Shrimps and some shell fish that we bought a week ago at a very reasonable price but couldnt have enjoyed it before because everyone was enjoying the flu... Tapi semalam dah makan kenyang... Alhamdulillah... Tido senyum... :)

Today I realized how crazy this superbly efficient part of the world is. The motto that we often hear, practice and preach in Malaysia, "Bersih, Cekap, Amanah" is actually practiced here in Hamamatsu!!! I had to get some documents to apply for my youngest son's birth cert and passport. To start the day, I picked up Mr. Effendi (checkout Asrul Effendy's Fotopages) who by the way is fluent in Japanese/Englsih and Malay to folow me on my short road trip to obtain the much needed papers. 1st we stopped by at the hospital where Izz Farish was born. Mr. Effendi did his magic and I got 3 birth certs for my son each costing 1000yen!!! I could've used the money to get a new 3.2MP mobile phone... Crazy, papers costs more than phones... But its a good system than what we have. If we lose our birth cert, no need to go and pledge infront of a court that you lost it. Just have another one issued. Tapi nak issue yang baru supporting documents kena adalah... Not forgetting Mr. Effendi pun mesti ada sekalilah in my case...

Then off to Shiakusho which is in Malaysia our Pejabat Daerah. Another pleasant government office where efficiency is top priority. Habih dalam sejam dapat semua yang nak. But as usual, every document applied for is not free. Tapi Alhamdulillah a lot cheaper than the ones at the hospital. Bagus servis kat shiakusho ni, no long waits, always people at the counter, no lunch breaks and none of the usual panas dengan the desk clerk... But I know in Malaysia all of these slowdowns are no longer in existance. So, Hamamatsu punya servis, cannot complain, the desk clerk is an awek muda who smiles a lot... After this, hopefully a pleasant trip to Tokyo to get the documents from a Malaysian Government office abroad...

After getting all of the documents I headed home and thought I wanted to nap a little. Tapi gatal pi telefon lab mate and dapat tau ada hal publication pulak... Well OK, saya ingat nak turun kejaple kasik settle. Sampai2 skolah Alhamdulillah terus settle benda yang nak disettlekan tapi tiba2 ada mood tulis paper pulak... Once ada writing rush macam ni kena buat, kalo tak idea Allah bagi hilang... So melekat sampai 12.30malam... There goes my evening nap, now its time for bed...
