Dah ketandusan idea... Bukan ketandusan idea mengarang blog tapi ketandusan idea nak pi mana hujung minggu... You name it, we've done it in Hamamatsu... Dari sekolah sampai ke istana semuanya dah pergi... Hamamatsu downtown ni besar sikit dari Kajang down town... Ada 3 Jusco, restaurants here and there, electronic shops yang bersepah, shinkansen station, beberapa shopping complex yang lain, beberapa buah university yang scattered so far apart, one small surau, a few playgrounds and soccer fields, a lot of convenience stores etc... Oh yes, ada pantai dan sungai2 serta tasik2 indah juga... Nice and cozy sub-urban environment with lots of nice friendly people tapi satu hapah saya tak faham apa depa kata. They just seem to smile and bow a lot... However, not so many activities for family stuff... Masalahnya saudara mara takde nak pi melawat. Takkan nak bertandang ke rumah student undergrad pulak, suspen depa nanti...
abah, mana nak pi??? adik bosan ni...
abah pun tak tau la adik...
Harini rancangannya tak mau keluar mana2 tapi kesian tengok Faiq yang dok tawaf meja 4,000 kali dan Izz Farish yang sikit2 pergi kat sliding door sebab nak udara kebebasan kot... Cuaca sejuk pulak so mana lagi, Jusco playlandlah... Penatlah nak story pasal benda ni lagi, baca kat sini kalau interested... Walaubagaimanapun, ada gambar kereta Hello Kitty and geng yang saya dan Faiq layan sementara Puan Fara turun tingkat bawah buat groceries dengan Izz Farish... Lepas tu nak balik Faiq dah mula pandai demand apa dia nak. Dia nak kapal terbang. Benda ni dia aim dah lama jadi harini bagi jugaklah... Lagipon 50% off... Faiq punya semangat, dia pi bayar sendiri pakai duit saya...
syoknya bawak kereta hello kitty...
hello kitty on the road...
hello kitty dan geng katak juling dan punk penguin...
yeah, dapat kapal terbang!!!

Tunggu officially spring bolehlah layan tengok bunga kat istana... Lepas tu musim panas layan tengok bunga api dan barbequeue dengan students lain termasuklah 3 new undergrads yang scheduled to arrive 23 March ni. Dengar cerita semuanya ambil mechanical engineering... La ni layan jusco jelah... Tauke jusco tu sikit lagi jemput kami makan kat rumahlah kot...

Gambar pertama tu alahai comel.... gambar kedua tuuu... errkk...
Sumimasen, bukan ke ada zoo ke kat Hamamatsu? Boleh la bawak family. Kot nak pegi lepak kat onsen, tak boleh bawak budak plak. Tu pun kalu 'sanggup' la nak lepak onsen tu.
Buat macam kita dulu2 je...'cliffhanger', ingat tak?
puan fara!! pls share your recipe with us!! :D is that the basic bread and butter pudding with orange marmalade put in it? i used to do a nutella b&b pudding, sometimes i used peanut butter (zaman berisi dulu2)
Thank you :-)
Jie,
Gambar pertama tu 30 tahun lepas tu jadi macam gambar kedua tule... Nauzubillah...
Hamamatsu Zoo la ni sejuklah Jie. Dah dua kali pi, kalau pi hari Ahad free admittance. Haritu pi sana terjumpak sekumpulan Melayu yang tak sangka dok Hamamatsu ni juga. Depa pulak ada ramai geng Melayu lain so ramailah kawan2 la ni. Tapi jaranglah jumpak any of them pasal depa working sini. Tempat jumpak pulak depan kandang beruang malaysia...
Onsen??? Kat Zoo tu (actually area Kanzanji, maybe u pun tau) banyaklah onsen tapi kita ni malulah nak beronsen-onsen ni.
Yazit,
Hahahahaha, ko ni buat aku nostalgia... Kau layan lagi ke clifhanger? pi la ngan bedut... layan siul cerita clifhanger dulu...
Tenma,
I'm flattered by your comments, tank you... Actually this is my 1st attempt at kueh bengkang. I just tried it following Izhal's oversimplified instructions when he was lazing about infront of the PC and describing it from what he remembers seing one of his aunties do while making it. He was not giving me adequate attention then. I improvised a little with orange marmalade and some diced sunkist oranges. Not all imrprovisions menjadi...
1.Bread
2.Orange Marmalade
3.Cinamon Sugar
4.Milk
5.Diced sunkist oranges
6.Sugar
7.Eggs
Spread orange marmalade on bread, like making sandwiches. Arrange into baking pan. Soak everything in milk that has been whipped with eggs and sugar. Throw in a couple of diced sunkist oranges. Sprinkle cinamon sugar and bake.
I must tell you that the baked sunkist oranges turned out to be 'pahit'... Next time I'll add them after baking. I also found out later that this bengkang is better served cold out of the fridge... If you have any new recipes, please post it on your blog yaaa... Enjoy!!!
