Officially Izz Farish :)

Tok Ayah and Tok Mak arrived from Kepong yesterday!!! Ahamdulillah... Now I have two new characters in Hamamstu-Now... Before they got a chance to rest, we took them to the Malaysian Embassy in Shibuya, Tokyo to get Izz Farish's birth certificate and passport... Without these documents, we would have to return home to Malaysia without Izz Farish and make a new son to replace him... heheh... just kidding...

from hamamatsu to shinagawa...

then to shibuya...

everywhere...

We started off today at 6.57am using the Hikari Super Express (a type of shinkansen/bullet train) from Hamamatsu Station. Stopped in Shinagawa Station. Nobody was there... Where is everyone in busy tokyo? hiding from us? suddenly when another train stopped, there they were... flooding the terminal, but in a flash they were gone again... If you want to find modern day Ninjas, they are here in Tokyo...

Puan Fara...

We took the train to Shibuya and met a man with three dogs that showed us where the Malaysian Embassy was. We met one Chinese Lady married to a Japanese there renewing her passport. She was from Tokushima which was famous for Udon. Very nice lady. She even gave us one pack of Tokushima Udon... Didnt catch her name... To apply for the documents for Izz Farish, we were helped by he lovely and kind Obhu-san. It usually takes some number of days to get the documents done and we'd have to return to tokyo to get them... Luckily Ohbu-san is super efficient and comforted us by telling my wife that she could get the passport done by today before 4pm and she'd mail the birth cert to us... The embassy people have lunch break from 12.30pm-2.00pm...

jepun...

so we filled in the forms and went for lunch in Shibuya. Took a photo of adik for his passport because the one we took earlier had some problems. Photocopied some other doucments that was not enough... went window shopping and me, MUPA snapping :)

a trip to tokyo...

We reached the embassy at 1.30pm after lunch. Shortly after Ohbu-san arrived too and smiling she said, "I managed to get the birth cert done for you too"... Man... She should be the Sacho of this place :) While waiting I went MUPA snapping in the embassy... At 2pm when lunch was supposed to be over, Obhu-san gave us all the documents we applied for. Seriously, it never crossed my mind we could get either the passport or the birth certificate today... Now thats a full proof plan...

legally malaysian :)

Obhu-san...

After thanking Obhu-san for her help, we headed back to Shibuya station and moved on to Shinjuku Station and from there to Tokyo Station, the biggest and baddest station in Japan... Hopped onto another Hikari and zoomed back to our beloved Hamamatsu... Alhamdulillah, mission accomplished...

-This ones for you, Obhu-san :)-

Encik Izhal,

Hidup di Tokyo jalan berlari,
Jalan berlari bersiri-siri,
Izz Farish nama diberi,
Negara Bangi tempat di hati.

Bising sekejap di terminal,
Sunyi kemudian bagaikan tiada,
Bagaimana hendak mengenal,
Tok yang datang nampaknya muda.

Dari Hamamatsu pergi ke Tokyo,
Keretapi laju takutnya hati,
Dalam ramai-ramai orang di Tokyo,
Obhu-san juga yang menarik hati.

Encik Izhal,

Kedai Nepal kedai roti,
Tokyo nan nampak sama,
Ke kedai arwah Cik Daud memakan roti,
terkenang kembali peristiwa lama.

Kedai Nepal kedai roti,
Tokyo nan nampak sama,
Yang sama hanyalah roti,
Bagaimana teh tarik tiada bersama.

Kedai Nepal kedai roti,
Tokyo nan nampak sama,
Apa dia intipati?
Perut aku lapar terasa lama.

Kedai Nepal kedai roti,
Tokyo nan nampak sama,
Galak sungguh rasa di hati,
menulis pantun terlalu lama.

Japan seems like a nice place for a holiday.. Anyway, your kids are so cute.. Especially the elder one. ;)

Kirim salam kita orang kat your in-laws. Tanya Mak Atok dia tak bawa coklat cik siti kah utk dijual di Hamamatsu.

You are right about lots of people appearing and dissappearing at Tokyo's train station. When I was there in 1998, I nearly got 'crushed' by the crowd yg turun drp shinkansen!

bestnya izhal ada in-laws dari malaysia. siap naik tren lagi. i wish ade bullet tren kat m'sia...cepat skit...i think less hassle ke kat sana to travel by public transport berbanding kat sini?

i believe it has been a relatively difficult and challenging experience (for parents giving birth a baby in Japan).

Congratulations!

Izhal said...

Agus,
I wish the same too :)

Safurah,
Ramai orang cakap macam tu juga... Hamamatsu-Jin ni...

Syikin,
Bagus macam tu. Puan Fara kata haritu dia dah buka 8 cm so tak sempat nak request lagu apa2 pon, time tu saya pula pi Nagoya, so balik2 Izz Farish dah menunggu kita pula :)

Edoras,
Puan Fara's parents enjoy it here... Layan sejuk spring...

Hanis,
Tokyo is not that interesting. Just another big dirty city but Hamamatsu or Kyoto would be nice...

Thank you. The eldest one is a boy...

Mak,
OK... ada dia bawa sample cokelat untuk cucu2 dia... la ni dia pi jusco mesti pi tempat cokelat nak tengok idea2 packaging sini...

mama_fynn,
the train system here is superb. if the train is sceduled to arrive 7.15am, then it will reach 7.15am lewat 1-2 SAAT sahaja. You can never give the reason 'Train lambat la boss' to your employer... BUT theres a high price to pay for this kind of efficiency in terms f money and time ;)

kunci hilang,
the birth is not bad, its the process to register the child afterwords thats a hassle... Luckily Obhu-san was there :)

Izhal said...

suhaimi,
tak larat kot dia nak dukung orang yang surat beranaknya dah lama :)

zino,
ha ah, kalau ak dari bandar ke bandar dan travel sorang2 baik pakai train... tapi kalo sekumpulan sewa kereta pun ok...
