Reflection... 3 Years ago... Hamamatsu Now...

About 2 days ago someone new from Malaysia arrived to study here. Like me 3 years back, he left his young wife in Malaysia. I guess she'll be joining her in 3 or 4 month time... I left my young beautiful Puan Fara pregnant that May in 2003... Came back for her in September the same year and saw my son 3 or 4 month old for the 1st time... I remember that I wore my best cloth to hop on that jet to meet my son. I must have looked good because Mr. Ajis (now graduated and working in Canon, Shah Alam) who sent me to the station did say I looked good. I dont even dress up that good for an interview... When I saw him, I nearly cried... Very joyfull... Now he's almost 3 years old... How time flies, like a jet...

Hamamatsu... Ah, this place... Never have I thought to live here... All I did was ask Allah to put me somewhere where I could answer an age old question I asked myself back in 1997... "Eh, apa bendanya dalam chip tu???" Now He gave me the opportunity to mix light and electrons, both invisible but so real... He gave me a very good Tok Guru, Shoji Kawahito, one of the top researchers in CMOS Image sensors in Japan to show me the way of the modern samurai... New questions arise now, but I dare not ask... Not yet... Only He knows where I will get the answers... Only He knows where to put me and my family if I ask...

Nowdays, I'm a hardcore lab rat... I see my family only from 2pm to 4pm on weekdays... Cant fight Mr. Ito though, he's right now having a 3.13am nap right there on the floor... Thats right, not sleep but just a nap...

batang pokok sakura...

Hopefully tomorow I'll have a chance to meet the new Hamamatsu guy... Heard he is from good old UPM and can speak Japanese gempak sakan... Sources [1] also said that he's from the same faculty as me and that I met him once in UPM but cant put a face to his head nor a name to his soul...

When will I get the chance to post about KOMBINI in Hamamatsu? I need pictures to do this but havent been shooting any KOMBINI pictures yet... One of the things that I'll miss is the KOMBENI in Hamamatsu

I remember when my friend visited me just before she went off to Japan, she asked me what I'd like for her to bring back for me. I automatically answered bunga sakura without even thinking ;) It's the inevitable association, the Japanese and the sakura. Though I don't know exactly why, I guess it must have its own significance to the Japanese culture, more than just being pretty delicate blossoms in drama series :P

nice photos. the sky can be more blue with the polarizer. ND filter does work but not enough to bring the clouds out and darkened the sky.

cantik jepun...the temperature i guess.

Maklang,
Kombini... haaaaa... tungggguuuuu... bila ada gambar, entry khas buat Maklang...

Crimsonskye,
it must have, its even printed on their coins... i'll ask my youngest son, I consider him Japanese because he was born here :)to me, sakura is like sleeping beauty... sleeps during the winter and blossoms during spring... lives a wonderful life as home to an abundance of animals, turns red gracefully during fall and sleeps again for the winter...

~ahni~
